Web Resources for NGOs/Non-Profits

Web resources for NGOs, specially those relating to technology, have been increasing. Organizations such as WANGO, the World Association of Non-Governmental Organizations, have sought to strengthen the NGO sector around the world, by putting them in touch with each other. Through its global network, NGOs are able to communicate and share resources to maximize their impact on their humanitarian work.

NGOs or non-profits  have been in active partnership with the public and private sectors in delivering ICT for  development programs. As frontline partners, they have  been immensely effective in  local communities with their ties to grassroots  organizations and the local leadership.

Here is an initial list of these resources. More to follow at a later post:

World Association of Non-Governmental Organizations
An international organization that 'provides the mechanism and support needed for NGOs to connect, partner, share, inspire, and multiply their contributions to solve humanity’s basic problems.'

Microsoft's NGO Connection
Provides access to technology lessons and Microsoft resources to help NGOs attain their goals.

Techsoup: The Technology Place for Non-Profits
Provides information on technology, resources and support, as well as access to donated or discounted technology products through a service called Techsoup Stock.
